How Is MVP Different?

Compare and contrast MVP and other organizations in the progressive electoral and movement-building ecosystem. Learn how these organizations align, how their strategies differ, and how they work together. More pages forthcoming.

  • Does MVP coordinate with other electoral & advocacy groups?

Yes. MVP coordinates closely with peer funders like Way to Win and Democracy Alliance, national groups like Indivisible and Working Families Party, and local partners to share strategy, avoid duplicated effort, and send money and people power where they matter most.

  • How is MVP different from other organizations?

MVP works at the intersection of electoral politics, community organizing, and movement building, and we do much more than just move money. We also help grantee partners strengthen and scale their work and get groups working together, so every donor dollar goes further.

  • How is MVP different from Flip the Vote?

Flip the Vote is an allied, mostly volunteer-run group that raises money directly for a small set of local organizing groups, most of them MVP grantee partners, to help flip the U.S. House. MVP funds a much larger portfolio across more states and also provides capacity building and coordination across the movement.
