What kinds of organizations does MVP fund?
MVP funds local, state, and national organizing groups rooted in and led by the communities they serve, from established organizations to brand-new groups doing electoral work for the first time. We put a strong emphasis on organizing working-class communities of all races.
We focus on local organizations rooted in their community, led by people who reflect that community and those most impacted by the injustices we seek to transform. These include:
- Established organizations and both issue- and constituency-specific networks.
- Emerging organizations that are engaging in electoral work for the first time.
- Nascent groups recently formed or on the cusp of launching.
We have built an extensive database of 500+ movement groups involved in voter engagement and turnout, and we are constantly scouting for additional groups alongside our in-house advisors and movement partners.
